I adored this sandal so much, I bought it in 2 more colors (so now I have it in a mossy color, white, and bronze)! Its ankle-strap keeps me from going too far forward. The footbed is soooo comfy, yet supportive, and that, with its wide, soft leather straps, let me wear it on my worst, I-can't-stand-anything-touching-me days. Yet still, the way the foot-straps lie askew and a little further back from my toes, it doesn't look to old-woman-orthpedic-y. The footbed molds to your foot, and the shoe is very lightweight with a durable sole, that it made it my go-to shoe for trekking. It also looks good in anything from a dress to jeans to shorts. In addition, there's a velcro strap that's adjustable and comfortable, whereas others have a metal buckle that might chafe. The shoes were comfy as soon as I tried them on -- no break-in period needed!I normally go to Danskos, but these Naot shoes were much more lightweight, easier to pack, and the footbed fit my foot (have high arches) with the right amount of support.
