I'm still breaking them in but they're still fairly comfortable and very sturdy. I hiked extensively in the rain during my backpacking trip and felt the held up to moisture quite well considering I hadn't yet treated them with any leather conditioner. Yes, you're spending more money upfront for something that is made in Europe, but nothing is more expensive than buying something twice from China.These are also very comfortable. The leather lining on the inside of the boot holds up well, conforms to the foot, and does not irritate the foot. Traction is good. Nothing bad to say about these boots.
